Pros Sleek and Simple
Cons Lacks quite a bit of technical features such as auto-suggest on youtube videos, slow in loading discs, slow in playing netflix movies, not easy to connect to youtube accounts.
Summary Overall I am disappointed with this product, I am not sure why this is getting thumbs up from every site.

Pros Looks nice, I guess
Cons You can make dinner while your disc loads.
Summary The BDP line has long had problems with speed, both when the device is turning on and when it's loading a disc. Sony really needs to scrap the firmware for these things and completely start over. On the other hand, Sony is the king of planned obsolescence in their hardware, so by the time you can't wait any longer to get a better blu ray player, the BDP will break anyway so the decision to upgrade will be easy.
Pros Nothing except it makes a nice paper weight.
Cons Does not work.
Summary This Sony is just a total piece of junk. Great for keeping the wind from blowing papers off your desk but not worth your time to use as a DVD player. This is the second one I brought home as I thought the first, which I returned was defective. Turns out they all are defective. Sony customer service does not care. They will waste your time on the phone. DO NOT BUY SONY. Sony is the Japanese word for Junk.
Pros Looks nice, decent price
Cons Netflix stuttered from day 1, even though I eventually switched to a WIRED connection in frustration. We went back to the store, bought a Samsung, installed it in the exact same location, and *never* experienced another netflix problem (w/ WIFI now).
Summary Buy SONY if you want your netflix movies routed through a server in China or Japan so that they stutter/stop/start 100 times every few minutes. Otherwise, stay away.
