    Pros: Looks nice, I guess

    Cons: You can make dinner while your disc loads.

    Summary: The BDP line has long had problems with speed, both when the device is turning on and when it's loading a disc. Sony really needs to scrap the firmware for these things and completely start over. On the other hand, Sony is the king of planned obsolescence in their hardware, so by the time you can't wait any longer to get a better blu ray player, the BDP will break anyway so the decision to upgrade will be easy.
