Toshiba BDX2500

Pros: Light weight makes it perfect for batting practice.

Cons: Slow and unresponsive. Poor Netflix streaming quality.

Summary: The first one I got had an issue with not responding to remote commands and powering on and off that required constantly unplugging and plugging it in. Exchanged for a different one that had the same problem but less frequently, so we decided to keep it and deal with the occasional unplug/replug.

Last week the player started spitting out Blurays as invalid and won't play anything. Called Toshiba customer support and was told there was probably an internal problem that couldn't be fixed, but we were past the 90 day free exchange period and would have to pay $90 to exchange for another BDX2500.

Even when it did work, the player was ssssslllllooooooooowwwwwww and unresponsive. These things are clearly designed and built poorly. Don't waste your time and money and go with another brand.
