"Holy Cow....WOW"on by famu009
Pros Just look @ the 4 letters on the front of the speaker, starting w/ "B" and ending in "E".....Sound absolutely kicks major butt....compact, sturdy (and when I say sturdy, I mean sturdy), easy as heck to use....doesn't matter what you connect, it makes it s
Cons All of the other reviews I've read stated it was expensive....ah...that's why we work, so we can afford the best and that's what this is...so in other words, I CAN NOT FIND A CON....
Summary Until about 5-6 yrs ago, I always thought Bose was way over priced and overrated, but I bought a '06 GMC that was equipped w/ a Bose system and fell absolutely head over heels in love w/ the product. Although my home audio system does not include any Bose products, my current vehicle is equipped w/ a Bose system, I've also purchased a pair of headphones, and now this. I have nothing but worldwide acclaim for Bose. Please keep up the OUTSTANDING work......
Pros -Fills our apartment with music. I am not an audiophile by any one's imagination but this speaker delivers.
-Sound quality is excellent.
-Size is perfect for a counter top (Small Foot Print)
Cons -Price. It is a Bose 'nuf said
-Switching between multiple devices doesn't seem to be automatic. I am not sure if this is device issue or a speaker issue.
Summary At the end of the day the nylon cover is great. Is the leather cover worth the extra $50? In my opinion it is not. Even the Bose sales person told me that the nylon version is the better deal (same speaker minus the cover and chrome).
If you are looking for quality sound in a medium to small sized room then this is the device for you. The speak is loud and doesn't distort (at least I haven't had it that loud yet).
Pros -amazing sound for size
-great battery life
-rugged/solid build, will last long and take a beating.
Cons -difficult to hook up with bluetooth unless you stick to the same one device
-a bit expensive
-lacking bass... has thump but no hold
Summary I recommend unless you have a budget.
Pros Sounds great
Great WiFi distance
Easily connects (even for non-tech savy)
Works or syncs with everything but kitchen sink
Small with powerful sound
Looks great - anywhere you put it
Feels solid and durable
Battery DOES last 9-10 hours at mid setting
Cons Price 4.5 - If priced lower it would Sell Out!
Older model Bluetooth phones have problems reconnecting
NOTE:internet forums stated connection problems with iPhones, iPads and MAC's, but could eventually connect if followed procedures. (We own none)
Summary We are getting 1 more, we luv it!
Wanted a wireless speaker for some time, researched everything I could could find on all types of WiFi speakers and personally liked the SoundLink overall. Almost overlooked the new SoundLink because of the old SoundLink model, which was the Bose SoundDock Portable that was priced extremely high due to the $100 battery. Judged them by 1)Sound, 2)WiFi, 3)Size, 4)Appearance, and 5)Price. Although I did not get to try all the speakers I did give them a solid rating from internet reviews by professionals and customers when needed. We were using some Mini Sphere speakers but wanted something with more sound and WiFi.
We use this SoundLink with 2 tablets, 3 laptops, 2 smart-phones, 2 dumb-phones(no bluetooth), 1 ipod, and 2 mp3 players. Wither it's used indoors or outdoors it sounds great, and with it's size it has been so easy to just pick it up and go. If the paired item is still in memory it almost always syncs back up with no problems. Twice it wouldn't sync back up with older LG Prime. Said it was paired and connected but only played audio on the phone, not the SoundLink. Having had friends over at the pool, on the lake, or in the garage it has synced up to 20+ phones and several tablets with ease(lots of people wanted to try it). We did get it to work with some iPhones and iPads but it took some effort through internet research.
Our biggest problem with it? It has been hard finding time for it to recharge! Buy the mobile charger (SoundDock Portable charger) if you plan to use it away from the house.
Pros Looks great on my counter.
Easy to connect and start listening
3.5mm cable included for non-Bluetooth devices.
Terrific sound quality.
Summary Bought this to have music in my kitchen and family room. My 17yr old immediately paired her i Touch. I paired my new i Pad but only after reading that I needed to hold down the Bluetooth button on the Sound link to connect. Great sound, looks great. Does exactly what I wanted it to. I can even pair my 1st gen. i Touch using the included cable.
