"Not supported under Vista" on by cadogan
Pros: No comment
Cons: Not supported under Vista
Summary: Not only not supported but they have no interest in supporting it.

"Terribly Inconsistent" on by audiowize
Pros: Fast... when they work
Cons: Very poor reliability
Summary: I've tried this kit and a Netgear kit, and both kits will work fine for about 2 weeks, then the connection is severed, and I get to spend 5 hours making it reset. Any lighting or electronics with a switching power supply (quartz lights) will totally kill the signal on these, and they do not automatically reset. Even when I tried to write this review the firs time, I had a 20mb connection, then by the time I hit submit, nothing!

"Worked fantastic for a few months" on by niftyswell
Pros: Plug it in and watch it work.
Cons: After a few months watch it go to intermittently working and then watch it finally die.
Summary: It had good reviews probably based on testers who put it to good use for a couple of weeks just before it had an early lifecycle issue that their QA missed. If you go to the Linksys/Cisco site you will see dozens of folks with these that had the same issue I have had and you will see others on here with the same issue. I was hoping it was a bad windows update 'fix' but now know this just happens to be a problem with this particular product. So I have 3 linkysy game bridges, a linksys modem, two linksys routers, and a linksys wireless router. So on one hand I buy linksys and only linksys expecting to get years of service out of them but now I see this product and read these reviews and wonder if I should just save the 10% extra I am used to paying for a product that will last and go cheap instead? If I were you...go cheap because their customer service knows they have a bad product here, are playing games with those calling in, and are not standing behind this product because the bean counters have probably told them they cannot afford to refurbish all the inventory out there. They used to be that rare breed of stand up company that stood behind their product (They shipped me a WRT54G when I had a connector break off a few years back and made me a loyal customer) but this product and their response may lose them more market share and long term money than they would have just fixing the issue. There are plenty of other products for cheaper go with them.

"Piece of crap!" on by ITSecGuy
Pros: As-designed, this product would be a great alternative to a wireless solution for people such as myself, who know that wireless is wide-open!
Cons: I have the same problem that most people have with this device... Firmware broke the PLE200 and Linksys told me where to go and what to do with myself when I got there...
Summary: There are a lot of other alternatives... Cisco seems to be dragging down Linksys' customer support (sadly)...

"PC not required!" on by itsasony
Pros: Fast setup, plug in!
Cons: wall-wart (hogs wall space on the electric socket) its as wide as the wall trim plate.
Summary: Out of the box, i plugged one into my router and another in the kitchen on the other end of the house where I plugged in a Mac iBook. No configuration or software install was required. It just worked. Probably helps to have access to a PC to setup any features such as encryption, but it wasn't required to get it working.
