onPros This was a plug-and-go installation. I think it took me all of 5 minutes and then 2 bedrooms in my house were on the home lan without a problem. The appliance use in the house doesn't effect the stability or speed at all, everything is smooth and flawless
Cons 100mbit connection would be nice, but I believe this is part of the HomePlug 2.0 spec that is being drafted now.

onSummary Tried Siemens Speedstream powerline ethernet adapter but it wouldn't stay connected for some reason. Replaced it with this Netgear adapter and ta-da - awesome performance and xbox live gaming without having to run wires! Highly recommended.

Cons Limited distance for connections
Summary Sorry, I really wanted this to work. I have a lot of experience with network devices, but despite my best efforts, I couldn't get this to network from one end of my home to the other -- a distance of about 60 feet. It does seem to work fine if within 30 feet, but anything more than that, and you'll get intermittent connections at best. I found that one of my units purchased had been previously opened and resealed (shame on you, CompUSA), but after testing them on numerous outlets of varying distances, they seem to work -- just not consistently over 30 feet.
