"Great Product!!"4.5 starson by belshopper
Pros: Easy to use; True Plug and Play; No Brainer setup; extends network any place in house (even to outside detached garage)
Cons: Nothing yet.
Summary: I initially had a full wireless G home network in my house. By that I mean I had a wireless router that connected wirelessly to my main computer in my den, my computer in the basement and my laptop as I roam around the house. I also have the SONOS Digital Music System (which is AWESOME by the way especially when paired with Rhapsody service). My wireles G network worked great for the most part. The only problem was that I would every so often have drops in communication as well as complete down time of my network and my SONOS would also go down. Not a small problem at all especially as I'm xfering data or working on-line from home (VERY frustrating) and I can't use my SWEET SONOS system. After doing a lot of research I decided to give this a try. I can honestly say that I am so glad I did. The setup was super, super, super easy. All I had to do was plug one powerline device into my Wireless Router, plug another next to my PC in the Den, plug another into an outlet next to my pc in the basement and plug another next to my SONOS Zone Player (for SONOS one Zone Player has to be Hard wired via Ethernet to form a mesh network). It took me about 5 minutes (honestly it did) to setup these 4 powerline adapters and have my home network up and running!! A network of course is only as good as it's dependability that's for sure and I have had no problems with these units whatsoever. The great part is that I still have a wireless G network for my laptop and still use it with my laptop, but why do I need wireless for my fixed items? The answer is I don't...now that I use this Netgear equipment. My suggestion is buy a couple of these (you need two at least for the initial setup) try them out and if they work for you GREAT! if not take them back to the store. You'll know within 10 minutes if these things will work for your home or not so you don't have much to lose.
