Pros Allows you to connect anywhere in your house. Can use with game console and dvr too.
Cons speed...it isn't bad, but I would like it to be faster.
Summary I have three of them (one four port and two one port)hooked up in my house and they work great. The network has rarely gone down. I had tried powerline devices before and they were inconsistent at best. I also tried wireless, but couldn't get a strong enough signal consistently in my basement.

Pros High Speed Internet On Tap
Cons None At All.
Summary One of the very best purchases I've ever made, and It didn't cost a whole lot, lol.
I had tried range extenders, longer antenna's and what not to get a decent signal from my router on the main floor to the basement, in my theatre room. Nothing worked, until now.
I ran a cat cable downstairs some time ago but I wanted to be able to connect multiple sources, like my Slingbox and PS3.
This Slinglink not only solved my problem but it was so easy to connect, completely idiot proof.
I highly recommend this product.
"If compatible with your system, this sure beats running a patch cable from a lower floor."on by Bobdc6
Pros Perfect when installed per instructions. Will accommodate 4 items. Has pass through ability.
Cons Requires a dedicated electrical outlet at both ends. Can't be plugged into a surge protector.
Summary My problem in installing the Slinglink was that where my TV sits, I have only one wall outlet, and have 5 things to plug in, counting the Slinglink and Slingbox. I installed a grounded 6 outlet adapter to the wall outlet, and when I plugged everything in, no more internet. I did have internet though with 4 things plugged in, and lost it when I added the Slingbox. My temporary solution is to run an extension cord from a nearby outlet to the Slinglink. It now works great. My 7 rating is relevant only to my installation, if I were lucky enough to have two wall outlets behind my TV, I'd give the Slinglink a 10.
