Pros I'm a long time Firefox user and this version runs as flawlessly as earlier ones.
Cons As always, nothing to complain about with Firefox.
Pros None that I could find. And that was with trying it twice.
Cons Slow, ugly, cumbersome--if I want to see the bookmarks I have, I go to "bookmarks." I DON'T need to see them everytime I click on the address bar... it just slows things down and makes using the browser that much harder. And the new version is SLOW.
Summary I loved the earlier versions of Firefox--but this version is a bust. Let's just say that if a browser is going to be really slow AND eat the bookmarks from the previous version, it should at least be easy to work with. Not the case at all with 3.0. I'm looking for a new browser.
Pros Everything: Fast. Reliable. Secure. Lots of aad-ons.
Cons None whatsoever
Summary We tried the Beta version for almost nine (9) months.
We love it.
It is ahead of the Explorer 7
Very much improved over Firefox 2
"Big disappointment"on by tbm3efan
Pros Was never able to find out other than what looked like a nice toolbar.
Cons Was incredibly slow at loading web pages which rendered it useless.
Summary My computer satisfied Mozillas requirements. As soon as 3.0 was installed and the browser came up there was nothing but a blank screen that was stalled. I thought the router was down again but when I tried IE 6 it worked perfectly. Firefox 3 was so incapable that I needed to use their competitor to access the Mozilla support site. Lots of comments about slow this and that. Then lots of suggestions about doing this and that, checking this and that. I won't do that. I you aren't ready for prime time then you shouldn't release the program until you can count on most everyone having a seamless transition. Since I don't use IE I needed to get back to Firefox 2.0 and luckily still had the original download stored away. Uninstalled 3.0 and then re-installed 2.0 which then worked perfectly and at normal high speed in connecting to the web. So long Firefox 3 as there is no way that is going on any of my computers
Pros runs google software
Cons becomes nearly unusable after more than one window is opened
Summary I cannot count the times this piece of garbage has crashed my mac, causing me to restart and lose what I was doing. It slows down itself and your computer exponentially as you open more windows or tabs to the point of unresponsiveness. Anyone with a mac would do well to use Safari whenever possible. My experience with Firefox has been frustrating and enraging. This thing is horrendous.
