Pros: Tabbed browsing
Cons: Everything else
Summary: There are so many things wrong with this version of IE. Not even counting the myriad of small esoteric bugs (everything from iframes not working properly to intermittent 'site not found' errors), the main problem with this version is the horrendous (horrendous!!!) user interface.
The toolbar is set in stone and can't be customized in any way. This means that if you run any decently high resolution you have to contend with an address bar that extends across the ENTIRE screen and gives you no opportunity to use the extra space for other things (like Google bar, or whatever). Worse, if you run at low resolution you now have to contend with several horizontal toolbars that take away from your web page space. So no one is happy!!!
The tabs bar- while being helpful- is unecessarily huge (and eye-sore ugly). The Back/Forward buttons are insanely small. When you make the Back/Forward buttons bigger (one of the FEW customization choices IE7 gives you), it also makes the already-way-too-big Tabs bar even bigger. Doh!!!
I've been an IE user and lover since IE 2.0 way way back. This is quite simply one of the worst releases of Microsoft software I have ever seen... and it totally missed the mark in a huge way.
