"My browser"
on by SebasthianPros No activex, less flaws => less spyware, virus, worms, etc
Cons Some formating problems...
Summary When browsing had become a really dangerous activity for production pcs as much as for home pcs, appears this browser for free!
Less (er) flaws in an attractive interface, also open for personalization.
No need to become a paranoid to browse anymore.
Excelent work Firefox Team. -
"This browser really is perfect"
on by cnetbugsmenotPros Secure, Compact, Fast, Sleek, and Open Source
Cons I haven't found any
Summary This browser is not hyped up for no reason. Ever since switching to Firefox I have NEVER had more than 7 or 8 tracking cookies in my weekly spyware scan (and i go to a lot of shady websites). I haven't had spyware or a virus since switching.
It is also small and compact. I like Opera but it is just too bloated. Firefox starts off with the bare minimum and u can add what you want via extentions. If you dont instal any other extention get Adblock, i haven't seen a pop-up since I downloaded it and I rarely see banner ads anymore.
Finally one of Firefox's best features is it is open source. Mozilla offers a reward to anyone who discovers a flaw making it much more secure than competing browsers. And whenever an exploit is discovered it is fixed within a week. The press goes nuts whenever an exploit is found in Firefox but they always fail to publisize it when Mozilla fixes the exploit 4 days later.
If you aren't using this browser you need to start. This is one bandwagon you wont be sorry you jumped on. -
"Absolutely Brilliant browser!!"
on by koalinoooPros Fully customizable, secure, privacy aware!
Cons no so far (using it 1 year!!)
Summary Great browser lets you rediscover the web!
Trhow away the bugghy M$ IExpoler and the new consumer tracking Netscape (yes, it tracks users online surfing with unique serial number, as doubleclick does!) -
"A Work WELL Under Way"
on by supercourierPros Secure, customizable, and Mozilla responds to users needs unlike MS
Cons Dumped my Profile and lost Years of Favorites once...never learned why.
Summary All they say is true...faster, safer(that one worth the switch alone), and has tons of cool features that can be arranged to your liking if you wish to take the time to check them out and/or add them. A world of dedicated fans are creating more and more add-ons every day. And once you start looking this baby over, you'll WANT to find more toys for it (like extensions and plugins) because it makes it so much more useful and fun.
For those of you shrugging your shoulders at that last comment, remember what got you on the web in the first place...there's so much out there you didn't know you needed till you found it!!!

"The best browser I saw, strong competitor over IE"
on by rtrtPros Is fast, is free, support almost sites 100% has wonderful features and much more
Cons 0 cons found
Summary This wonderful browser deserves a average 10, more that 8.6, it's fast, secure, suports plugin, CAN SUPPORT ACTIVEX 100% by downloading a plugin (I don't remember the site), its popupblocking and tabs make it a strong competitor to IE (even IE7 that includes popup-blocking but isn't comparable to FF yet). It's small size compared to IE and fast GUI makes it also good for old systems (believe me, I use a 450 MHz one and FF is fast)
