"Good salespeople, Horrible customer service"
Pros: I have internet where I otherwise wouldn't.
Cons: Service is mediocre. The internet varies in speed constantly.
Summary: Every time I ever called them I was on hold for at least a half hour. Usually more. The salespeople are great. When I signed up I opted in to a promo where I never received my discount and when I tried to disconnect one of my services I was kept on the line holding for an hour with a repeating message reminding me that "Your call is very important to us!"
Worst customer service imaginable. I was left on hold for almost an hour as I was trying to disconnect my phone service from them.
I'm not quite so sure. The only reason i use Optimum is because it is what's offered in this area. While I had my fair share of problems with Time Warner at my old apartment, they generally handled my problems relatively promptly and never had me on hold for more than 15 minutes.
To put things into perspective, I was on hold for an hour on their DISCONNECTION line. I guess this means that people are constantly trying to jump ship from Cablevision services. Use them only if you need them. Only order the absolute bare minimum of what you need. Buyer beware.
