"Great sound, good looks."
Pros: EQ settings, overall quality of sound, awesome remote, usb/ipod control, setup.
Cons: uncooperative multi-control knob, HD-Radio doesn't give song and artist data. Can't rename radio presets.
Summary: Great little radio with awesome sound. Great bang for the buck! I had it installed with the Pioneer HD-Radio module and it is more dynamic and no noise whatsoever. No RDS through HD-Radio module :(. I do not have any speakers hooked up to it.)
The multi-control knob in the front of the radio is very tempermental. I had issues when trying to store my presets. If you are not pushing it in at the precise angle, you will inadvertently click to the right, up, left, or down instead of in. This is extremely annoying especialy when making adjustments.
EQ settings are of a parametric type, where you choose the frequency, the resolution of the frequency, and the cut/boost for lows, mids, and highs. a big plus.
The remote control is very easy to use although it would have been better to have another shape. The card shape of the remote doesn't fit well in the hand. The buttons are well spaced out.
Setup: 2002 Suburban, Pioneer DEHP4000, HD Radio Module, Infinity 5350a 5-channel amp. Pioneer 6 1/2" speakers (rear doors), Premier Component Speakers (front doors), Premier 8" shallow mount Subwoofer (factory location).
