Pros Really good music quality with bluetooth streaming from my phone as well as incoming/outgoing calls. I've had no probs with this deck and would recommend this model to anyone.
Cons No probs with this deck. I've had it for 7 mths now and it still works fine. My doberman even chewed on it and it still works the same as when I had just bought it(got some scratches & dents though!)
Summary In my opinion I think this is a great deck and I'm glad I bought it. Affordable and simple. This deck is great for just about anyone. It's features are exceedingly useful and it's price is affordable. It's really versatile as well because I can even attach my PSP to the Auxillary port. After using this deck I think all decks should be Bluetooth equipped. I read about a guy who said that the 'annoying' chirp that the deck makes when it is switched off can't be turned off. Well dude, you should read your manual because it CAN be switched off. Great sound, lots of features and a great price, all in one powerful deck. Good work SONY!
Pros just so one gets confused: you can make out going calls on the mex bt2500.
Cons the quality of sound in phone calls isn't the best but i got on fine with it.
Summary I would recommend the mex bt2500 to anyone, never had problems with it and its very easy to use.
Pros High quality sound and easy to use..
Cons None. None. None.....
Summary Good product, very affordable.
Pros As a whole the Sony Mex-BT2500 is a spectacular device. I primarily use the bluetooth to stream music. The sound quality is superb. I have the w580i and I can use the systems remote to change songs.
Cons The car microphone is poor. People on the other end of the line have trouble hearing you.
Summary Overall, I think this system is awesome. Its easy to forget your ipod, your digital camera etc. The less items to remember the better. So, its nice to see manufacturers combine all these items into one. I predict that bluetooth will become a standard feature in all cars in the future.
All i have to do to connect is start my car then turn on my phones music application.
Pros It's Sony! Sounds very good even with stock speakers. Nice color scheme.
Cons Caller ID info doesn't show on the display.
Summary I only trust Sony when it comes to electronics, so I expected nothing but the best when I purchased this unit on Crutchfield.com for $109 (I found a $20 online coupon through Google). This unit goes very nicely with the color scheme of my dashboard in my '01 Honda Civic. Black & blue are my favorite colors so I had no problem switching from the stock radio, plus this has noticeably more power. I love the option of the auxiliary port, regular CD, or mp3 CD. I loaded about 135 songs onto one CD, which is fine for me. I don't own an iPod, I have a 512 MB Sony Psyc Walkman mp3 player, which I use for songs that are not on the mp3 CD. I don't really have a need for 3000 songs to be on the road with me at all times. The bluetooth feature was the main selling point for me, and it did not disappoint. Setting up the bluetooth doesn't take that long and using it is a breeze. I feel so cool using mine, and no, I don't have to scream for people to hear me. Some say that they think they're on speaker phone, some say I sound like I'm underwater (I think that's my AC). I don't expect the thing to be perfect, so these issues were minor because I can hear them loud and clear through the car's speakers. I could never hear on my bluetooth headsets so I was anxious to get rid of it, plus it always fell off of my ear. This unit is beyond a bargain at this point and has pretty much every option I need. I don't need HD radio, satellite radio capability, or iPod connectivity, so this was the perfect choice. Sony never fails me.
