Summary: This is a great GPS unit. I have had it for 2 weeks now and am impressed with its accuracy and ability to route trips with ease. The other reviewer said his was DOA, but what he probably didn't try was to push the 'reset' button on the back of the unit. I was having troubles turning it on at first and happened on the small reset by accident. Since then it has worked flawlessly.
It is my first GPS unit so I don't have anything to compare it to. I did do a lot of research and I think this should be high on your list for a sub $500 system.
It has never been confused where I am and connects within seconds. Rerouting happens very quickly. Newer roads (within the last year) are not in the database, but hopefully there will be an upgade possible. Also the POI database can be lacking at times (1.6 million) but as long as you have the address it will get you there without a hitch. -

Summary: Cert the unit is not perfect a few times I had to reset it specially after leaving off for a log time. Mine did work right out of the box before I left the store "Officemax".
It has been very reliable got to all my destinations no problem. I whish that updating the map was available through the Averatec website
From the time I purchased this unit I have yet seen another unit in the price range and above that would make me go back on the market for another purchase. -

Summary: There are too many things to list that have gone wrong with this GPS. I purchased on line before Christmas. When my wife finally opened the box the 30 day return period expired. When we started to use this thing many problems existed. It always defaulted to a California location. We live in Florida. Most of the time the unit would have to be reset to turn the unit on. There were also other issues. My wife travels a lot for business and having a GPS is a necessity.
When I contaced the company to send this piece of junk back the customer service rep. stated that the 30 day return policy was expired and they could not return our money. We would have to send it back to give them the opportunity to fix or replace the unit. A first the service rep. stated that they had no spare parts to even attempt to repair the unit. Finally after several phone call we are about to send this rotten piece of technology back to Averatec for repair. I would of rather had my money back to purchase a more reliable unit. But now, we wait...... -

Pros: Small footprint, small lag in location update
Cons: Maps are not all updated
Summary: The Voya 320 is a functional piece of hardware. Battery life is not an issue unless there isn't a 12 volt socket handy. I would have rather they spent their efforts on GPS instead of music, photos and streaming video. All in all an adequate device.

Cons: Failed to power up out of box. When returned, store had no others. Supply of product poor, and ability to work poor. Overall, poor. Suggest you avoid.
Summary: The above says it all. I bought this at OfficeMax the day it came out. I was excited, as it seemed to promise a lot for the price (Navteq maps, multimedia player, small form factor, etc.). Well, physically it lived up to promise -- small, portable form factor; great windshield/dash mount, etc. Unfortunately, it failed to power up out of the box. Same was true whether plugged into car power adapter or a home charge (you have to supply your own home charge cable -- 12v standard). In any event, since it never worked, I couldn't use it. Had to return it. When tried to exchange it, OfficeMax said they had no others. They only received shipment of one. So, overall, seems like Averatec has a problem with supply and with making a product that actually works. Suggest you avoid it unless/until the manufacturer figures out how to provide a functioning product. And this review comes from someone who loves technology and generally rates things very highly (just check out some of my other cnet reviews over the years). Trust me. This one is a dud.
