"Could Be Better"
Pros: sleek design, easy to use, compact
Cons: map coverage
Summary: I have nothing against this little gadget. It is awesome in its concept. The ONLY thing that bothers me is the map coverage. Yeah, I'm sure its great if you live in New York but god forbid you try to venture into unknown territory (Canada). While it has map coverage for the few major highways that run across the country, most of the time you will drive off-road. My trip from central Saskatchewan to Calgary (almost 900 km) was completely off road until I got to Calgary, and to make matters worse, I got lost in Saskatoon because only half of the city is on the map. The link to the map update site www.navigation.com/dellupdate has been telling me to keep checking back in the spring for map updates ... well it's almost summer now and still no updates. On the Dell website, I couldn't get any support for it because the service tag is not recognized. Key point: if you need a gps for the city (big city - NY, LA, Toronto etc) it's a great gadget. I would give it a 9/10. But if you're a weekend warrior or you sometimes need to drive on less conventional roads, stick to a paper map

The non-mainstream Canada map issue has nothing to do with the functionality of the product.

It could be true but then its problem with MAP software and not the GPS Locator.
If you wish you can upgrade your maps or provide your feedback to Navteq ( same company provided maps for google ) and they will surely upgrade it ( hopefully
)
