"Great unit, kept track of location while in my pocket"
4.0 starson by jim zPros: Recorded track while in my pocket. Ability to use arieal photos is great as maps aren't current. Used it for grouse hunting last week and liked everything about the unit.
Cons: Interfacing to TOPO 8 on computer is more difficult than I expected. Still learning transfers of tracks.
Summary: Like being able to record tracks while hunting, I mark bird flushes as waypoints and later tranfer them to my computer, this keeps a record for future reference.
Battery life seems good when using Lithium batteries, but I always carry extras.
Using TOPO 8 software more diffiuclt than expected, like being able to download aerial photos as they show much more than the maps, which may be out of date.
