Pros Easy to navigate
Cons Make sure to unplug device when turning off car or damage to battery can make unit stop working
Pros Touch screen, accuracy, quick downloads (even wireless), nice size, great windscreen mount.
Cons None after one year of use.
Summary I have nothing bad to say about my Garmin. I also find it irritating when people rubbish a product just because they happen to get a bad one. As far as three in a row? I think you're full of it; you're probably the type that would complain if your ice cream was cold.
This is one of several Garmin products I own, land, sea, and air, and I've never encountered any issues. When I do need tech support to figure something out, Garmin ALWAYS answers the phone and I ALWAYS talk to a real person IN THE US! I kind of like that.
At any rate, I highly recommend this unit. I would certainly buy it again, no question about it.
Pros purchased for my wife who dones not do gadgets-she took a trip out of town-unit took her straight to the front door-she now is in love with Jack(name of unit's male voice)takes the worry out of traveling to the unfamiliar
Cons map of my home street was incorrect/have mailed correction to garmin
Summary unit is very easy to use out of the box/type in address and go/POI's are a plus/strange city hit POI and get turn by turn to food/Walmart/Hospitals etc Pedestrian/bicycle modes are a plus very satisfied
Pros I love this thing
Cons It never gets me lost or anything
"Loser GPS!"on by amocci
Pros Love the size and voice directions.
Cons It died and left me stranded after one use.
Summary The first trip I use it, it was terrific one-way and to return that evening it was dead. The GPS would not turn on. My first Garmin GPS was in the 200-series and awesome. This one is a Garmin LOSER! I'm a road-warrior and depend on a GPS to do my job. Many of my work-related visits are one or 2x visits to a city. I can't waste my time or money on a GPS that is not dependable.
