"CNET got it all wrong"
on by SuretyBradPros Bluetooth syncs flawlessly with iPhone 4S. Phonebook loads instantly. Maps are accurate. Minimal traffic ads.
Cons Speaker for directions a little quiet.
Summary Don't know what unit CNET reviewed, but all updates and sync were flawless. All you need to do is follow directions. It isn't that hard. Best mad easiest GPS to use I've ever had - it's my 5th GPS. Tried Mio, TomTom, other Garmins, Google Maps. This one beats them all - hands down!!!

"Still Playing Up"
on by scmike66Pros Lighter, sharper picture, more responsive, good for directions.
Cons Traffic is weak, less features, poor on line set up and interface.
Summary I had a 265wt that started acting up so I got the 2495LMT with HD thinking it would make my commute easier in LA. The mydashboard and interface is old fashioned and slow compared to other software products. The map view in traffic is like looking at google maps without the clarity and does not update as you drive, you literally can drive off the screen. On the old model, you had good visibility to the freeway ahead, easily could see the red, yellow and green traffic routes and the map followed your driving. This version literally looks like Google maps with small print and you guess what color the traffic is. While in this mode, there are no off ramp or street name notifications. You get these in the normal mode and some traffic but it only will show you 1/4 mile ahead; so it is kind of like driving blind. If you use traffic, skip this model.
