The Bottom Line As entry-level GPS navigators go, the Garmin Nuvi 255W is still one of the best choices available for anyone who wants speedy performance without breaking the bank. The Garmin Nuvi 260 offers drivers and travelers a more budget-friendly version of the popular portable navigation devices and includes text-to-speech, but we think the price is still slightly high for what you get. Despite some minor performance issues, the Garmin Nuvi 265WT is a good value GPS, offering a number of high-end features for an affordable price. The TomTom XL 340 S introduces a few advanced features to TomTom's midrange lineup, while staying well below the premium price bracket.
