    "Excellent unit highly recomend"

by zeebea on December 9, 2006

Pros: accurate, fast reroute and calculations, easy to see in any light even with polarized sunglasses on, tons of poi's need I say more.

Cons: speaker distorts easily and tech support is a long wait.

Summary: I have after much research owned this unit for around two weeks and let me say it is worth every penny. I paid $654.00 online. This thing works great. Just the other day we were coming from a Walmart and hit traffic. I pushed detour and it brought us for a very scenic ride all the way around the traffic. I had first set it up and put in my bank to kind of test it and it was sending me in the wrong direction! I went along figureing I was going to box it back up and send it away. As we pulled into the highschool parking lot I was not happy. Well it turns out that with the new constuction up there we have put in a Leominster Credit Union branch. Guess it knows the town a little better than I do.

The MP3 player works fine, I put in a buch of songs on the first try and they play well unless to are playing around with the remote. There is a skip in the music every screen you switch to. The speaker distorts easily above 80% so until I figure out how to line out to my car speakers I really dont use it much.

The bluetooth phone is really nice. I have a nextel I605 and on the second attempt I got it. This feature is really a nice addition. I have yet to get any type of auxillary antenna for the unit. I may get the traffic antena but doubt very much the XM feature will be used.

I would have given this a 10 but beacause of the speaker distortion I had to go with a 9. Any one who wants a great unit that is easy enough to hide in your car or move to another car and is very fast ansd accurate....look no further. Plus it is one of the few with a remote and to top it all of it is water proof so motorcycles can benifit also.
