Pros: Simple Design
Cons: Satellite Recpetion, Satellite Reception, and Satelltie Reception (Include Customer Service in there as well)
Summary: Maybe I'm one of the unfortunate few, but after installing all the latest software updates and using a 2GB SD card to load North America Maps. This Unit simply failed to consistently acquire a satellite signal. The highest signal strength I ever had was 3 bars (out of 5, 2 bars is considered a lost satellite). Routinely driving through flat country roads in Maryland surrounded by corn-fields, I will completely lose satellite reception. The unit would ask if "I was indoors".
Got a replacement after 2 months of dealing with Garmin Customer service (4 phone calls, two order screw ups with one having a ship date in 2011). Garmin users be forwarned, they charge you for a brand new unit and don't refund your credit card until the old one is returned...still waiting for the refund.
The second unit had the same problems as the first unit. Thank Goodness I purchased this originally from COSTCO, and they have a nice return policy.
Goodbye Garmin forever!
