Pros Has every feature anyone would need.
Cons Equalizer, power, antenna lead, screen brightness, Sub pre output are all in poor design,
Summary The equalizer feature just plain blows, or I am a retard and cannot figure out how to adjust individual Hz's and then save this setting for future useit has been a month now,,
Over all sound is weak and the unit has only two preouts Front and rear/sub. ***, 1k and no dedicated sub preout??
Why when I am listening to a CD does my antenna still go up?? It should only activate when turner is selected.
none of the information for a cd will display on the screen. I have cannot find any information about this but it must be a issue with the unit?
The unit needs an adjustable dimmer value for the screen for day vs night. In the day it is too dark and at night still too bright after the preset adjustment If I go through a host of menus I can manually change it back and forth but again,, ***. This car is for guest to use while visiting. That is why I bought a touch screen and nav for easy use and now I need to host a seminar on how to use this thing.
I wish I had the old factory unit back, it sounded ten times better. Maybe someone from Kenwood will read this and write to me to tell me how to use this thing??

1- I installed a small switch to break the power feed to the antenna. (not my preferred solution, but ti works)
2- the original installer did not hook up the dimmer feed to the car. I aked about this and they said sometimes it has issues. I think maybe they did not understand how the unit works. Now that it is installed correctly, The unit will dim at night when the lights are turned on. The gps tells the unit when it is dusk and dawn. The two work together. with out the wire connected the gps function will not work. (dimmer problem solved).
Pros A lot of features, large screen
Cons Unit'scomputer broke- Kenwood informed me that it is unreparable. Kenwood provides terrible customer service at best regarding this issue. UI is not user-friendly, once you adjust to its setup, it becomes clearer. DVD menus not easily accessible
Summary Not worth the large amount of money that this has cost me and apparently will continue to cost me to replace the broken unit. Shame on Kenwood for not providing customer service for such a waste of my time and money! There are many other units on the market and I highly recommend purchasing one of them, just not this one.
Pros Nice GUI interface for setting, however I wish their were more control on the main screen for various volume control.
Nav system and backup monitor is great.
Cons Major bug already identified, if I knew before I installed, I wouldn't have bought this unit, my kids dvd movie gets interrupted on bluetooth phone calls and any control changes I'm making on the system. Major bummer!
Summary Overall my wife is pissed, the system for her is very difficult to understand, she can't simply turn down the DVD audio, she has to go thru a few settings to get there and then adjust. Kids get upset when the movie is interrupted, and now she can't talk on the phone for more than 2 seconds. It just doesn't make sense why Kenwood would interrupt the A/V out for phone or control panel changes, why would the back viewers want to see this info??? Again, major bug on this system if you have kids. Luckily they got it right for the Navigation view, as the kids at least don't see that they can watch their movie, and also the backup camera. However everything else over rides the movie. Dual Zone Audio works great, too bad they didn't do dual zone Video for phone and console changes. I was also told (and I haven't tried this ridiculous method) if you want to listen to Tuner in front and let the kids watch & listen to the movie in back (hence dual zone), you must push the NAV button & then the FNC button, again I haven't tried this, as Tuner in front and DVD in back hasn't been working either. DON'T BUY THIS UNIT IF YOU HAVE A REAR MONITOR OR A/V OUT NEED, IT SIMPLY WON'T WORK AS INTENDED. HOPEFULLY, KENWOOD WILL MAKE A S/W UPDATE TO FIX THIS DUAL VIDEO BUG!
Pros Great Nav with next street and speed limit on major streets. Music in from iPod, USB, BT, MP3, Sat.
Cons Boot is a little slow.
Summary This Nav unit has it all and works perfectly. Have not had an issue. Very impressed with the Garmin Nav.
Pros I chose the 6140 over the 7140 because I'm a fan of volume knobs, much easier to adjust when flying down the road. My iPhone connected perfectly the first time and the two have been a great team ever since. I've been very happy with this purchase!
Cons Make sure you ground the parking brake wires somewhere other than the brake if you want to have key-pad dialing capability and DVD playback when in motion. Also, if your car came with a single-din dash bezel you will need a double-din replacement.
Summary A high-performance double-din (DD) head-unit with GPS, DVD playback, iPhone compatibility, and excellent audio features for less than $1K - simply amazing! Should be reliable and provide excellent service for many years as other Kenwood units have done and continue to do. Thank you CNET and other sites for your top-notch reviews and thorough analysis.
