Not worth the price

Pros: Same as other GPS devices. Voice Alerts.

Cons: Poor Navigation Software, Incorrect directions

Review: I have used this product in Montreal, Canada and LN735 GPS device gave wrong directions on 3 times. Poor signal under bridge. Wrong speed warning on many roads.
When I spoke with LG Customer Service, they confirmed that there is a problem with Navigation Software and Signal Strength with this device and I need to send device for repair to LG. LG Customer Service is pain so I will not buy any LG Product again in my life.
So if you buy and find any problems, you have only 90 days for the device to get repaired. Otherwise you have to shell out $70 for repair.

Easy to use and worth the money

Pros: Very simple setup, quick gps signal and very accurate

Cons: short battery life, speaker volume is a little to low

Review: In my opinion this GPS for the money is well worth it. Right out of the box it worked exactly how I pictured it. Easy to use and it pin points just about anything your looking for. I give LG props for making a GPS so late in the game but making one up to par for the market. Compared to others around the same price, I like this one better. Anyways hope this helps.

Poor Audio, Poor Display, Poor Accuracy

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Sound not loud enoug, display difficult to see in sun, accuracy less than 300 ft.

Review: I have a Garmin and an Altec Lansing
(both work great). The LG is far
inferior. Save your money.

Good GPS for the money

Pros: Great reliable GPS for the money

Cons: Not very loud, horrible support if it breaks

Review: The LG 735, gives very good and reliable direction from point A to point B. Miss a turn, and the GPS will re-calculate a new direction right away. The volume on the GPS is not very loud, but with the radio off, and even with the heater on, I had no problems hearing the GPS. The LG 735 doesn’t have all the bells and whistles like the other more expensive makes and model, but if you just need a simple GPS that will give you directions in North America (mine visited 6 major cities), this unit will do.

The major con on the LG 735 in CANADA is the service, the local LG service depot don't fix GPS (I have 2 in Vancouver), the GPS must be mailed in to Mississauga, ON (via Pualator paid for by LG).

no see, no hear

Pros: text to speech

Cons: Can't see it, can't hear it, no earphone jack.

Review: I got this as a replacement for a MIO C310x that was virtually ruined after the "update".

The LG LN735 has an MP3 player but no earphone jack to output the sound to your audio system. Worse, the volume is so low, only the sharpest ears will hear it in the quietest of cars. Likewise, the dim display virtually disappears in the glare of daylight. The poorly rated MIO display is easily twice as bright.

This is a fairly new model not ready for prime time. I couldn't get mine to accept states or zips. Support told me they would have to call me back after 20 minutes on hold. They called 8 hours later, I had already packed it up for return.

Excellent GPS unit

Pros: Reliable, great price, slim and easy to carry

Cons: POIs can be improved

Review: I purchased this recently mainly because of the price and features. I was very happily surprised. It is a solid performer. I have no complaints. It locates me in seconds and routes and re-routes me quickly. It does repeat directions sometimes right before I have to exit, but more than once, it was necessary because I almost missed those exits (how did it know???). I would gladly recommend this to anyone interested in it. I've have a $2000 pioneer navigation system (loved it), i've used hertz never lost many times (never lost really sucks), I've used a usb gps antenna attached to my computer (cheap, but awkward). This LG unit is great. the battery lasts a long time so, often, i just don't plug it in. when i want to take the unit with me I just stick it my pocket. It's slim and easy to carry.
One thing I wouldn't mind is a more intelligent POI system. If I'm going towards a certain direction, I'd like to know the POI's in that direction, not just the closest ones near me. but i hardly use the POI function.
