    Pros: CAN'T THINK OF ANY

Cons: Software sucks. Constantly looking for a satilite. Many streets missing. Would shut off at times. No customer support.Stopped working after 2 months. Short battery life. Iv'e been ripped off.

Summary: It's hard to believe this thing is still on the market. BUY A GARMIN!

"HORRIBLE FOR PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" on by truckinSteve

Pros: Trip planning is good. You can have individual folder for seperate places. Screen navigation is easy.

Cons: Over all, this unit is terrible. It gets lost very easily. Will get stuck in a loop instead of reconfigureing route. (Example: will have you doing U-Turns over a short distance until it finds itself.) NO COMMERCIAL TRUCK ROUTING AT ALL!!! Hate it!

Summary: WOULD NEVER SUGGEST BUYING THIS PRODUCT! If you are a casual driver who doesn't care about going way out of the way to get to your distination, go for it. I'm a professional truck driver who makes a living based on as short a milage between point A and point B. This unit, even using the "shortest distance" option will add as much as 40% to your route. It freezes up three or four times a week and has to be shut down and rebooted (hold the power button down until it shuts off then hold it down until it starts over again). Tonight is a prime example of the sorry quality of it's maps: I was going to Lockbourne, Ohio. I was on Interstate 71. It told me to exit onto Interstate 270 WEST then told me to go 1 1/2 miles and exit and turn left then get back on Interstate 270 EAST. This added just over 4 miles to my route. At a $1.25 a miles this gps cost me about $5.00 out of my pocket on just that one small mistake. WARNING: IF YOU ARE A TRUCK DRIVER LOOKING FOR A GPS UNIT, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MAGELLAN. THEY DO NOT OFFER COMMERCIAL TRUCK ROUTING AT ALL!!! A good friend of mine bought this same unit the same day I did at the same place. He drives a taxi in Dallas Texas. We've both had the same unit for a month. He called to tell me it got him in trouble with several passenger/customers because it added so much to the cab fare. He went on to say that he had his ONE week and threw it out the window. I'm a tight wad so I've kept mine but I will never follow it's directions.

"Broke out of the box" on by tmidgett

Pros: Worked well for one hour

Cons: I got it today and it stopped working after one hour the unit reboots itself over and over again. After checking it seems to be a common problem with this model. I would not recommend this GPS to anyone.

    Summary: dont buy it!

"Great when it actually works" on by blueyzoo

Pros: When it works it always navigates to the correct location. It is very user friendly and is easy to learn how to use. If it is on and the charger becomes unplugged it has a feature that will shut it off to help save the battery.

Cons: It doesn't always consistently work. Sometimes it won't recognize the charger and will keep trying to shut off. Takes a while for it to figure out where you are, and give you the correct locations if you have moved since the last time you used it.

Summary: Again this is great when it is actually working. However I am finding that it is not working more often than working. I tried to have Magellan replace/fix it, but you need to have proof of purchase in order to do that. It was a gift so I had no receipt and had thrown the package away by the time it started malfunctioning. I'm not sure if I would buy a Magellan brand again.

"A GPS for someone that just wants GPS" on by loganlyon

Pros: Easy to use GPS for someone that just wants GPS functionality. It's made to do one thing and it does an outstanding job at it. Good visibilty, and responsive touch screen.

Cons: If you want a portable unit that does everything a built in nav system does this is not for you.

Summary: The reason I started shoping for a GPS receiver is because I wanted an alternative to getting online and printing off written turn by turn directions with a very small map of the destination. I wanted a device that tells me were to turn when i need to turn. It seems like every GPS unit is trying to act like a SatNav system that you get installed right into your dash. Those things are put there to not only give you turn by turn directions, but also many other functions of the car, mainly audio and video funtions. But I already have a stereo in my car. So I didn't want a GPS unit that has features that I already have in my car. I'm not very good at writing these reviews, but the people I think should consider buying the product are the people that just want help getting where they want to go. And this unit has a very indepth POI(points of interest) functionality, and an easy to use address book. Great Value.
