"Good overall unit, great value,5 stars if would turn off"4.0 starson by bp4wdive
Pros: accurate, reasonably fast, a real convenience in unknown territory
Cons: some fonts are small, can't turn off
Summary: Contrary to previous review, I cannot turn off this unit so battery goes dead and takes a few minutes to charge prior to use after an extended period off (has latest firmware). Other than that, I have no complaints. It was very handy on a vacation. Very nice to mark a spot to get back to, e.g., camp site."The Navigon 2100 can be turned off, although it isn't very intuitive. To turn the unit off, touch the power button, the unit goes into 'standby' mode. Quickly touch the power button again, the unit turns on.

Now HOLD the power button until the screen turns off. It takes 3 - 5 seconds. The unit is now comletely off and won't drain power, although the battery will loose voltage slowly, as will any other battery of this type."
This does not work on my unit, please elaborate if possible. Thanks!
