I would like to ask you if it works in the Philippines?
Pros: I like this because it is a touch screen.
Cons: I like it but i want to know if the NEXTAR 4.3" Car Navigation works in the Philippines. If not then thats what i won't like about it.

This is great GPS, Bluetooth, MP3 player, picture viewer
Pros: I love that you can do everything with it.load my SD card I loaded songs and I was ready for a trip. I would just plug the GPS into Stereo listen to music, and when a call comes in it will pause the music you can answer your phone with GPS. 4.3 inch
Cons: This unit does take a while to get a GPS Signal but when it does lock in it works great. It does not have most update info for certain areas but it will always get you home

An excellent, entry-level navigational GPS system that is compact and easy to use.
Pros: A bright 4.3" screen, text to speech, photo viewer, MP3, Bluetooth and many other nice features for a very affordable price.
Cons: Not enough points of interest compared to some other models
The two most important navagational features in a GPS unit that I was looking for was a 4.3" screen with text to speech capability. The screen is bright and easy to read. The system comes with a stylus pen, but because the screen is large enough you really can just use your finger to type in addresses and to navigate around the system. The text to speech really beats the other units that just tell you to "turn left" or "turn right." In addition, the text to speech feature is very clear, easy to understand and the voice is unaccented.
Another feature that comes in handy for me is the speed alert feature. This feature will alert you anytime you exceed the set speed. Hopefully this means no more speeding tickets!!
I have not had any problems picking up a GPS signal; even on dark, cloudy, rainy and stormy days. It typically takes just around 30 seconds on the average for the system to acquire the needed GPS satelites. After that you are good to go. And so far to date I have not lost a signal.
The system also will recalculate a route for you literally in just seconds if you happen to have missed your last turn. It will usually ask you to make a "U-Turn if possible" before recalculating a new route.
The only ding for me with this unit is that there is only 1.6M points of interest. Sounds like a lot, but compared to all the other models this is where it lacks the most. Not enough for me to really knock this unit that hard, but something that I think that Nextar should consider if it wants to remain competitive in this market. I spoke to a customer support tech and they did say that they are currently working on updating their maps and points of interest base. Only time will tell.
So my overall take: The Nextar X4B is a great entry-level navigator. It has the core features needed in a portable device, without some of the other add ons that would drive up the price. Its ease of use adds to its appeal, especially for first time navigational users like myself. Simply a great buy for all that it offers!!
