This is great GPS, Bluetooth, MP3 player, picture viewer

Pros: I love that you can do everything with it.load my SD card I loaded songs and I was ready for a trip. I would just plug the GPS into Stereo listen to music, and when a call comes in it will pause the music you can answer your phone with GPS. 4.3 inch

Cons: This unit does take a while to get a GPS Signal but when it does lock in it works great. It does not have most update info for certain areas but it will always get you home

Review: Bottom Line, this is great unit for the price, I paid $275.00 for the unit new, this even has AC cord to charge at home, I have never seen this. You can use the unit has MP3 player while walking down the road with headphones. The unit had features I have never seen on unit with 4.3 inch Screen. I would really look at this unit if you are in the market for a GPS

Pros: Great for a first unit

Cons: none for now

Review: I already told 3 other people about this unit, 2 have already bought and the 3rd is on the way. Nice touch screen with accurate pressure points, and you can't beat the sd card 2gig with all the maps your ever need.

Great GPS for the price!!!

Pros: user friendly
bluetooth
big bright screen

Cons: 50-100 feet delays from the current destination

Review: My overall impression 1 day after trying this GPS navigator is positive. I have used mapquest navigator on my phone before and I loved it. The main negative in the Nextar is that there is up to 500 feet delay in the map from my current location, an issue which might be frustrating on occasions.

An excellent, entry-level navigational GPS system that is compact and easy to use.

Pros: A bright 4.3" screen, text to speech, photo viewer, MP3, Bluetooth and many other nice features for a very affordable price.

Cons: Not enough points of interest compared to some other models

Review: If you are looking for a nice entry level GPS unit and you do not want to spend a a lot of money then this unit is one to really consider. Although this unit comes with several other features (MP3, Photo Viewer and Bluetooth) I am mainly using it for navagational purposes like most typically will.
The two most important navagational features in a GPS unit that I was looking for was a 4.3" screen with text to speech capability. The screen is bright and easy to read. The system comes with a stylus pen, but because the screen is large enough you really can just use your finger to type in addresses and to navigate around the system. The text to speech really beats the other units that just tell you to "turn left" or "turn right." In addition, the text to speech feature is very clear, easy to understand and the voice is unaccented.
Another feature that comes in handy for me is the speed alert feature. This feature will alert you anytime you exceed the set speed. Hopefully this means no more speeding tickets!!
I have not had any problems picking up a GPS signal; even on dark, cloudy, rainy and stormy days. It typically takes just around 30 seconds on the average for the system to acquire the needed GPS satelites. After that you are good to go. And so far to date I have not lost a signal.
The system also will recalculate a route for you literally in just seconds if you happen to have missed your last turn. It will usually ask you to make a "U-Turn if possible" before recalculating a new route.
The only ding for me with this unit is that there is only 1.6M points of interest. Sounds like a lot, but compared to all the other models this is where it lacks the most. Not enough for me to really knock this unit that hard, but something that I think that Nextar should consider if it wants to remain competitive in this market. I spoke to a customer support tech and they did say that they are currently working on updating their maps and points of interest base. Only time will tell.
So my overall take: The Nextar X4B is a great entry-level navigator. It has the core features needed in a portable device, without some of the other add ons that would drive up the price. Its ease of use adds to its appeal, especially for first time navigational users like myself. Simply a great buy for all that it offers!!
