The Panasonic CQ-DVR909U brings you both DVD-Video and the world's most advanced music media experience - DVD-Audio. It includes features that multi-channel reproduction demands, from built-in center speakers, to a Dolby Digital Decoder. This all comes in a 1DIN industry standard size unit, with its external unit for amplification and power supply. The secret behind the incredible 1DIN audio engineering is Panasonic's LSI technology, which puts all key audio and video functions in one chip. These include the DVD-Audio decoder, MPEG2 video decoder, DTS decoder and Dolby Digital decoder. You have the option to install an additional CD changer in the CQ-DVR909U, allowing the passengers in front to enjoy one audio program, while those in back enjoy another. By shifting the rear speaker sound to the front, and putting the rear passengers' program on wireless headphones, each group can listen to their desired audio without distraction. Installation features such as speaker management, output balance, delay time, dynamic range compression and down mix permit optimization of surround sound. A balanced power supply works to cancel out a leakage of power that would cause noise in your system. It also helps to rid your system of noise from delicate audio signals. And with the wide dynamic range of DVD-Audio, the need for low noise is critical. A high pre-out voltage permits lower gain at the power amp stage, thereby minimizing noise and preserving dynamic range. By helping to avert distortion at the power amp input, this also enables clean speaker drive characteristics during large signal peaks. This 5V design extends to the subwoofer outputs, supporting deep powerful bass with low distortion. The display has a half-mirror effect allowing you to see easily in the daytime. And at night, the panel gives off an illuminated blue shade. If you connect the CX-DP88 or CX-DP610 to your system, you can control the CD changer directly from the front panel of the CQ-DVR909U, and switch discs without having to remove one from the panel. With one touch, the front panel slides down and reveals the disc slot. A three-stage tilt function allows the angle to be adjusted to 15, 25, or 35 degrees to change your viewing angle. Since DVD-Audio has about 1000 times the resolution of a CD signal, a completely new converter had to be developed - and this converter by Panasonic fits the bill. This advanced audio DAC is designed to maximize the performance potential of DVD-Audio. The D/A converter can process 192kHz/24bit data, as well as handle less demanding formats with ease. Experience both the full majesty of DVD-Audio Multichannel (up to 6ch, 96kHz/24bit) and the familiar 44.1kHz/16bit audio of CDs. The CQ-DVR909U has its own built-in flip-out center speaker - a function essential to DVD-Audio Multichannel reproduction and DVD-Video 5.1ch surround. A monitor and subwoofer are all you need to enjoy this powerful sound right in your car. The CQ-DVR909U also comes equipped with an acclaimed Alphatuner V FM/AM Tuner to expand your listening choices. The innovative Panasonic Alphatuner V circuitry opens the door to clear FM reception. It's designed to help suppress multi-path distortion and reduce the problem of signal reflections in metropolitan areas. It also features increased sensitivity for weak signal areas. With a wireless remote, passengers in the back seat can control the entertainment program.
