"Piece of crap."0.5 starson by gapxguy
Pros: Large Screen.
Cons: Navigation is worthless. Slow operation. Can't rip MP3's, must convert to wav. format from computer, then the Z1 converts back to MP3.
Summary: When I spent $2200 on this useless hunk of junk, I thought I was getting the state of the art, all-in-one head unit. Boy was I wrong. My $150 Garmin portable GPS is easier to use and more precise than the Pioneer Z1 - which gets me lost!
The way it stores my music is completely retarded. It wants me to convert the mp3's in my computer to CD format, then from there it slowly converts it back to mp3 format. I takes about 2 seconds to scroll 5 songs each page. So if you're looking for your favorite song for the moment, don't count on it!
Pioneer must have had monkeys on drugs developing their Avic-z1.
