"Could be great BUT IS FAR FROM IT"
Pros: Style is nice. GPS speed of picking up signals is fair. Screen is fair. Offers nice function. GPS works well.
Cons: Functions do not work and/or do not work well. Video playback DOES NOT WORK. Bluetooth speaker sound is very poor. FM transmitter no good. Not user-friendly like other GPS (like Garmin). NO UPDATES, DOWNLOADS, OR DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AVAILABLE.
Summary: I have a Garmin GPS and just recently purchased the Sanyo 4370. They are worlds apart. The Garmin was easy to use, all functions worked well and lots of dowloads were available on-line (including updates).
I was very excited to come across the Sanyo 4370. The functions were amazing...video playback, bluetooth, video-in, and mp3. After receiving the GPS, I put it to the test. Video playback would not play ANY of my mpeg4 videos. The instruction manual says it support mpeg4 files but only plays some. I couldn't find any. Bluetooth connected but the person on the other end of my trial call could not hear me well at all. Playing mp3 files was awkward and required too much user effort. There is no real benefit to this function...maybe with an easier interface it would have been useful. The video line-in and the actual GPS system itself are the only functions that work relatively well. The GPS interface could be a lot more user friendly. MY ADVICE IS TO BUY A GARMIN AND STAY AWAY FROM SANYO!!
