Pros: Brighter screen, better sound, super easy controls

Cons: No provision for in-dash mounting

Summary: I have seriously compared the available products and the new Sony entry sets a new standard for portable navigation performance. Battery life is over two hours when removed from the car, the screen is brighter, the touch screen controls are far more refined and easy to use. Most of all, the sound is far superior to other products so you can actually hear and understand directions at highway speeds. The Navteq mapping system is good, but needs a few updates.
