"Best GPS I've used"
Pros: Very light; will easily fit in a standard shirt pocket; battery lasts nearly 4 hours at full screen brightness; very quick rerouting; map corrections can be made on the device
Cons: Only 4GB internal flash memory; poor cell phone compatibility; no included AC charger or case
Summary: This unit replaces the much bulkier 910 which had a 20GB hard drive; the 920 is completely redesigned with flash memory which is an energy saver, though there is only 4GB of it. The preloaded software and maps appears to take up about 3.8GB, which means that you will need to buy an add-on SD card if you want to use the multimedia features such as photo viewer, mp3 player, audiobook player; the Tomtom website offers a few personalizations such as voices, different map colors, etc. I was able to connect my Cingular 3125 smartphone via bluetooth but the 920 could not download any data. The website did not list it as a compatible phone.

After doing Extensive research on All GPS units and speaking with all the Companies I think this Unit is giving the most bang for the Buck.. All the other units that are comparable to this one cost 300 dollars more. I was going to purchase the Garmain 770 unitl I spoke with tech support @ tomtom. I Drive Tractor Trailers for a Living and my needs are unique. After speaking w/ tech support I knew this was the unit for me & Professionals out here in the real world. I expect things to go wrong periodly, however when you can call up tech support and get help & answers along with some basic do's and don'ts thats who I spend my money with. Just thought you wanted to know. I will keep you posted from my side of the world if you like. Merry Christmas!
