TomTom One XL S

Pros: I like having my speed, time to arrival, etc. bar on the screen where it can be seen at a glance. And the fact you can place it at the bottom of the screen or on the right hand side.
Finds satellite quickly.

Cons: Having to enter names/info manually. If I looked for a grocery store, I only got a couple. If any. Same with restaurants, pharmacies, things-to-do, etc. Extremely annoying to me. Not very intuitive.
Don't return emails. Service is non-existant

Summary: I bought the TomTom One XLS because I wanted the slender case, wider screen. They have a good reputation in my research. I had a Garmin Street Pilot and wanted something I could slip into my purse. I gave it to a grandchild. Another plus was HSN was offering it 5 EZ payments. I ordered it. I should have returned it immediately but felt I should give it a chance as it was different from the SP.

The maps are great but there was very little else that I liked. I started saving up money to get another Garmin ASAP. Which I did do back in December. And gave the TomTom to another grandchild. LOL

I have no experience with other brands. But I love my new Garmin Nuvi 750.
