Pros: Adequate for navigating and is compact in size.
Cons: Power cord plugs in the bottom making top-of-dash usage nearly impossible. Included windshield mount is much too short for convenient reach.
Summary: A cute and functional unit has been marred by poor mounting design. A bottom-of-the-unit power cord makes it nearly impossible to mount on top of your dashboard since the cord must portrude at least a couple of inches and then bend out of the way. To top it off, the windshield mount extends only two inches, putting the unit so far forward on the windshield that it's out of reach for all except, perhaps, a chimpanzee.
Currently no accessories are listed on the TomTom web site that could solve these problems and the power cord location is not capable of being remedied anyway.

Something I forgot to mention, TomTom has a couple of goose neck mounts you can buy also, of relitively few $$$$.

I took a small piece of plexiglass, (actually from a $.97 Wal-Mart picture frame), put 2 small strips of heavy duty Velcro on the bottom and stuck it right to my dash. I took a little water with a couple of drops of dish liquid in it and wet the suction cup, and PRESTO. It has been sitting tight for a week,

My TomTom came with a 90 degree angle power cord connector, so it can be mounted quite low on the windshield. The "flip scree" option (as suggested elsewhere) probably wouldn't work in my car because of the rake of the windsield.

I just bought mine and did have an initial concern about mounting, but I found that if I mount it right next to the A-pillar where I would put toll tickets, it works just fine. It almost looks like it was meant to be there.

I just got one and the screen can be electronically flipped. That put the cord and the sd card at the top.

I have replaced the 1st Tom Tom mount because the unit falls off, and the 2nd one has the same problem. I believe the unit is too heavy to hold the unit. I have written many times to Tom Tom and they are not able to help. They suggest I buy a mount for the Tom Tom. The mount has independently decided to unmount itself about apprx. 6 times in my three first days of use. Fortunately no damage...yet. I have left the unit at home and emailed TomTom. The end of the mount that attaches (slides) on to the unit is certainly adequate enough, however, the suction cup at the other end seems to have issues. The actual unit has otherwise performed well. Rearching options.

The longer the mount, the more your GPS unit will sag so you have to rest it on the dash. I use mine in a truck and the mount has never come loose or has the TomTom sagged down,

There is an option in the extended options menu to turn the screen upside down, therefore flipping the device with the power cord facing UP. Not a pretty fix... but a fix.
