When you receive the product, out of the box, it does contain all maps as advertised: US, Cana, Mexico, and Europe. However, the problems begin when you connect your device to your computer in order to update its maps. After updating them, the warning message pops up on your screen informing you that there is not enough memory to keep all maps, and you have to choose what maps you want to remove and what maps you wamt to keep. There is no way, no option to keep all maps, because after updating them, they exceed the memory storage of your device (which is 4GB). There is no SD card that you could add to your device in order to increase its memory. We received this brand new product. I updated the maps and the maps no longer fit on the brand new GPS! So I have to have the USA maps on the product and I had to select all European Maps to be removed from GPS and transfer to my Computer. It's just a pain for a brand new product. The lifetime updates ONLY apply to USA maps and not both sets of maps the product came with which was disappointing to find out after the purchase. The customer service is useless, and charged me 15% of restocking fee. They also claimed over the phone that nowhere on their website they say its a World Traveler Edition. I even read to them directly from their website and the original product box that yes, it says it is a traveler edition. I lost over one hour with customer service and then a superviser, and they both were not helpful and did not admit there is a problem. They ignored me, they were rude, and were not willing to even listen to the problem with the unit. This is the last TomTom product that I purchased.
(2 years ago I purchased TomTom One for my travels in Europe, and their unit just died as I was traveling from Point A to point B). I hope that other people have better experience with them, Unfortunately, I'm not one of them.
