"Not "out of the box" user friendly"
Pros: I like that it has so many features, such as the games, video viewer, and MP3.
Cons: Maps aren't accurate out of the box. Doesn't seem up-to-date (or decade) on rural areasl! Needs better directions! Other mapping kept us from being lost. May be "multi-function," but you can only use one at a time. Not good w/ road closures.
Summary: If "OK" works for you, and you don't mind having to figure out how to use a device pretty much on your own, you might like this.
It routed us wrong in the Metro area and it routed us wrong in a rural area. It tends to give you indirect routes, no matter which mode you choose. It'll have you driving a zigzap pattern rather than a direct line, turn, arrive at destination.
Having wrong directions to my house, which has been here since 1910, should have been a clue to mapping accuracies.
You cannot use more than one function at a time, which seems rather obsurd. I'd like to hear the MP3 player while I'm driving somewhere.
Points of interest are hard to use. You might be right next to a chain restaurant, but it may tell you to drive to the next city. I couldn't figure out how to locate a shopping center without knowing an actual name.
As far as battery life, to be on the safe side, think of it as "none." If it's not plugged in, it doesn't last long at all.
In my opinion, you can probably find a more user friendly device for the same money.
I'm sure I forgot some things, but I think you get my point.
