It's not every day that the world gets an all-new Ferrari to lust after (not that one, this one). So when the Italian automaker unveils a new rolling work of art, people take notice.
Polyphony Digital and Turn 10 have both created digital tributes to the super sexy Ferrari 458 Italia using their respective Gran Turismo 5 and Forza Motorsport 3 game engines. But which is better? Ultimately, a pair of glossy prerendered videos says very little about which game is better. Check them out below and sound off in the comments section.
I can barely tell the difference between digital and real life at times, so--while we're at it--be sure to check out Ferrari's official live action 458 Italia teaser video.
Turn 10 celebrates Forza 3 going gold with this fan-made "Gone Gold Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro"
(Credit: Turn 10)Digital drivers waiting with baited breath for release of Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360 will have to keep waiting for the October 27th release date. But despair not. Turn 10 will be making a Forza 3 demo available for download on Xbox Live on September 24th to get you through this last month of waiting.
The demo features only one fantasy track, a Spanish mountain course inspired by the Montserrat region just outside of Barcelona, and five playable cars with full cockpits and damage modeling with rollover:
- 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
- 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro
- 2009 Ferrari California
- 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
- 2009 Mini John Cooper Works
Am I the only one who finds these little guys a bit creepy?

Turn 10, developer of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360, has released a new batch of screenshots highlighting a few of the vehicles we can expect to see when the racing sim is released.
Among the GT cars and LeMans racers, we find more familiar models, such as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Subaru's WRX STI, the Mazdaspeed3, and the Toyota Yaris S. Wait, Yaris?!
Browse our gallery to see what other vehicles we can expect to pilot around Forza 3's digital raceways when it's released in October. We've driven the real-world counterparts of many of these polygon racers, so be sure to check out our impressions while you're there.

E3 2009 has come and gone, leaving delicious trailers and tons of information for Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 and Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 3 racing sims in its wake. It looks like it's time for the digital drag race to begin anew.
Will the winner be GT5, with its new WRC and NASCAR modes, or scrappy Forza 3, with its in-depth customization options and more flexible difficulty levels? Sure, you could just get both and have double the fun, but only one can be the best. Check out the trailers below in HD, cast your votes, and get your fanboy on with your comments.
Editor's note: After numerous complaints of cheating and in-game content being offered as payment for votes, I've decided to close the poll. Way to ruin the fun for the rest of us, guys.
