"Great armband for working out & bonus features."

Summary: I shopped around for an armband and case combo that I could wear to workout and also protect my ipod 4G in my bag. This one does both very well and has a few extras.

Beltclip Doesn't Swivel
The headphone cord wrap is excellent for keeping that darn cord out of my way when I'm trying to work on the machines in the gym and it keeps the cord from getting tangled up in my bag.
The case itself has a clip on the back so I can wear it on my belt if I'm just out and about and want to listen to some tunes without being too obvious. The clip is flat so it lies close to your body. Pros and cons to this. It is very comfortable but it doesn?t swivel to wear horizontal.
I love the big clear front of the case. Nice clean lines and really showcases my ipod.
The armband is very soft, flexible and stretchy so it moves with me. I find it very comfortable except for the metal loop that the strap goes through. I can only wear it one way otherwise the metal is in the bend of my arm and that is not comfortable. The downside to this is the way I have to wear it has the cord wrap away from my head. Not a big issue, I just tuck the cord behind the case, but occasionally it does come out from behind the case and get in my way.
One last drawback, and this one I have read about on other reviews, the plastic is stiff and since it covers the entire front of the ipod scrolling with the click wheel is sometimes a little hindered. I have found two things about this, one is that there is a knack to this, just the right amount of pressure and using the whole 'finger print' part of my finger I can get it to work right every time. Two is that the more I use it the softer the plastic is becoming the easier it is to scroll. For me this is not a big issue. For others it may be a deal breaker.
The case has been doing a great job of protecting my ipod. I have a big purse and I just toss the whole thing in there along with just about everything else I own and I have not seen one scratch or ding on my ipod so far.
This may sound odd, but sometimes I have a little trouble falling asleep so I like to listen to some meditation music to help me drift off. My husband is not always appreciative of this so now I just pop on my armband, put in my headphones, lock my ipod and sleep like a baby. The armband is so comfortable and the cord wrap keeps the cord from choking me in my sleep. I don't even know I have it on until I roll over on that side.
I really enjoy my Griffin ipod armband and case. I have not found the absolute perfect solution for me, but with this combo I find the cons to be minor compared to all it has to offer.
