Pros none there is no good
Cons doesnt work, they dont warranty either. want to replace the case as damaged but wont fix the phone. the screen would be the same price, i have an idea, fix the phone, satisfy the customer and you wouldnt have web sites like this.
Summary purchased at a retail store for sprint, dropped it off the chair about a foot off the floor, filed a claim with lifeproof, they stated their cases do not protect the phones from damage. i posted part of their email, and the response is they will replace the case because it must be damatged. too bad.
Pros There are none. I regret buying this case. Bad investment.
Cons The case blocks sound. The Apple car charger does not work with this case. I dropped phone a distance of two feet and damaged my phone. LifeProof does NOT stand by its warranty.
Pros Tough, truly waterproof, dust proof, etc... if you are a carpenter, work outdoors or any harsh environment, this case just can't be beat considering the slim form factor **
Cons ** The slim form factor is a major con also. I am a musician and I use my iPhone with audio interfaces and run a line out from the headphone jack. I also like to use pro-level headphones.. all of these things require adaptors so they actually work
Summary If I had the chance to do this all over. I would never buy or recommend this case to anyone that wants to use their phone with anything that isn't directly supplied by apple with the phone. You need adaptors and you have to carry them everywhere you go if you like to use these add-on items anywhere you go. This means lost adaptors at some point, or you won't have it with you, or you would have left it outside in your vehicle when you want it upstairs... on and on. It's just not worth the slim form factor IMO and this case is NOT for anyone that likes to use add-on devices, period.
In short, I give the protection 5 starts but would give convenience 0 star so I figure that is a 3 star overall review.
Pros Slim case that promises on its claims.
Cons Only cable that works with case is Apple's OEM as far as I have found. Headphone adaptor must be used for most all headphones. Speaker and mic are muted with case on. Case will start disintegrating after about a year, compromising waterproofness.
Summary My case has completely fallen apart after a year and a half. I would have hoped at this price it would have lasted longer. Just average wear from moving in and out of pockets. I would not trust the waterproofness if your case is approaching a year old. Consider this case knowing it has a limited lifespan.
Pros Very durable, and definitely shock proof. Crashed and got road burn on my longboard while my iphone went flying down the road. Picked it up to find that it has held up well from the impact. waterproof as I have used it in my shower a few times...
Cons Sound gets blocked drastically. CANNOT HEAR anything in my pocket when outside with friends. It does, however sound better since the back of the case is used as a subwoofer in a way. Just not loud enough. Screen has extra glare when in case.
Summary Overall I like this case. For 80 dollars, I think it makes a great alternative to insurance. It does what it says, while many negative reviewers slam it for its leaking through the seal. I Take my case of regularly and do the test it says to do every now stated on the case when you first get it. It is waterproof but I would not recommend actually taking this out in the shower (Like I do) or into the pool. I believe the case should be used for ACCIDENTAL protection. As it says WATERPROOF, I would never completely trust anything to protect my precious iPhone. For a shock absorbing case, I would invest in one. Just don't trust it with your iphones life. No case is indestructable.
