Very good accessory for the iPad as it looks good and can hold the iPad in several stand-alone positions for your convenience. The use of magnets has made putting the cover on extremely easy due to the snap on function and is able to unlock the device when you open the cover.
On the over hand, the cover is not a case. There is no drop damage protection and the back of the device risks getting scratched. Although a proper case will ruin the devices' superior thinness. So it's really based on personal opinion.
However, if you have been convinced to purchase the device be prepared to pay for Apple's whopping premium price. If that price doesn't scare you enough, you should check out the leather version of the product (about double the price).
