Pros: 1. Keeps the iPad safe.

    Cons: 1. Poorly designed.
    2. Cheap material
    3. Hastingly made.
    4. Too Expensive.

Summary: The Apple Smart cover is for people that can afford to drop their iPads and walk in to your local Apple Store and buy another. For those of us that truly look at this purchase as a valued investment, for one's peace of mind an actual overall cover is the way to go. Many of the 3rd party vendors waited until the later part of March to release their products while Griffen preyed upon the impatient (like me) and out forth one of the worse products that could be put out for the Apple iPad. The Griffen Elan Folio Slim was poorly designed and with continued use has cause the cheap material to fray alongst the edges with stitching sticking out all over the place. I was fortunate to get this at two thirds the original price, yet this product is as poor as it gets and now that better iPad covers are available, Griffen can take the money that they suckered impatient buyeres like me and make something worth paying for.
