"Samsung SW-252 Worked ok for four years"
Pros: For the home user it worked fine for 4 years
Cons: Then I got a Secondary Driver 0 not found error on boot up. Computer will not recognize it any longer.
Summary: Spend a few more $ and get a better one. read more

Pros: Cheap
Cons: No luck burning Audio CD's in a hot-rodded 3GHz system. Have tried 5 different CD-Audio mediums from 1 to 24 speed with no luck.

"poor cheap price for cheap product"
Pros: cheap and affordable but not very efficient.
Cons: I don't like it because its not compatible to the Sony CD ROM. Plus it seems to breakdown easily. I bought this stuff and exactly one year later its broken. I hardly ever used it but its broken.

Pros: REASONABLE RELIABILITY AT REASONABLE PRICE
Cons: THE MOST RIDICULOUS FIRMWARE UPDATE AND DRIVER UPDATE PROGRAM. IF YOU CAN BE BOTHERED TO ACTUALLY FIND OPTICAL DRIVE SUPPORT AND ARE LUCKY ENOUGH NOT TO BE TIMED OUT ON THE SAMSUNG SITE THEN THIS AUTO UPDATER WILL ANGER YOU.... JUST DONT BOTHER
