Its great, but why should I upgrade?

Pros: Font smoothing is finally here, improved Actionscript

Cons: I dont see that many new features.

Review: Well, so i downloaded the trial.I saw a reason to upgrade from Flash 5 to MX. Then MX04 came out and I saw many reasons to upgrade also. Now im at MX04, I loved it, but I can do almost everything with 04 that i can with this one. Sure, you can group panels again, but Im not gonna blow that much money to get a lousy panel grouping feature and a font smoothing thing. Also, I mainly use Flash to develop web games, so there was really nothing useful for that.
Can someone please give me a good reason why I should upgrade? Ill upgrade if someone tells me something useful.

As a developer and animator, this is great!

Pros: New filters, filter tweening, easy easing, new AS functions, and more powerful tools!

Cons: Having to set settings for Flash Player 8 is very annoying.

Review: All in all, a great product. If you liked MX04, Flash 8 will make your mouth water!

get it right now

Pros: New skinnable video player component, filters, blending options

Cons: doesn't really have cons

Review: Although the UI has the MX 2004 feeling, the new features are powerful and impressive

User Rating: 9/10

Great graphics

Pros: Absolute great graphics

Cons: Believe me, you don't have enough RAM

Review: So I said it, flash 8 has the best graphics ever, your bitmaps won't break like the ones in the past versions, your text will look as sharp as can be and the new FLV format for video makes full screen video a reality never seen before. You gotta buy it, yes you do. Go, now!. I'd give it a 10 if it wasn´t so slow some times, I've got a P4 3.2 1Gb RAM and still find it hard to edit the new "antialis for readability" kind of text. but very good overall.

User Rating: 8/10

Solid upgrade with many welcome additions to both the working environment and scripting language

Pros: cacheAsBitmap helps complex animations run smooth. Filters and blend modes are finally incorporated

Cons: Interface still needs work - Hopefully Adobe will have a good influence on the appearance and logic of the overall working environment.

Review: Defenitely worth the upgrade. For the money, upgrade to Studio 8 (even if all you have is a previous version of flash).
