"Best upgrade in ages"
Pros: Many features made simple by a well thought out menu system
Cons: many features takes time to lear
Summary: I don't think people bad mouthing this product are on the up and up. To say the product doesn't work is a lie. I installed it on my laptop with no worries and I didn't tech support nor an upgrade patch.
Judge the product on its merits. Its easy to get the specs off the web and even some professionally written reviews. I doubt Roxio would have only make the product workable for reviewers and not ht epublic.
There is now 16:9 support. Most product should have it by now since it is becoming standard. However a lot of products are still behind. I also like the tivo file support which is also a rarity among media managers.

i just purchased roxio 8 and installed it, everything went ok. now when i tried to copy a music cd it tells me to insert a cd, it also screwed up my dvd cloner software. i eventually had to uninstall it. i feel that i just threw $72 down the drain.

I upgraded from version 7 to version 8.
CRASH!
From the first time I installed Creator 8, when ever I started it, both my DVD drives stopped working.
My computer froze, crashed, and wouldn't work again without reboot.
This product is worse than useless.
As soon as I uninstalled it, everything worked fine again.
Either KiKis55 is extremely lucky or works for Roxio.
Waiting for a free upgrade/patch/fix so that, hopefully, I can get my money's worth out of this crappy software.
