"OK internet access terrible customer service"0.5 starson by allyson399
Pros: None at all
Cons: Everything. I got very mediocre internet access with my device. Granted, I was using it in Manhattan so maybe the tall buildings caused interference, but isn't this only really available is cities? It would take 6 hours to download, say, a 30 min TV sh
Summary: I could have lived with the crappy internet if it wasn't for the outrageously horrible customer service. Here's what happened: 1) when I called to cancel (because the service was so bad) agent spent about 15 minutes trying to convince me not to cancel, finally was told (surprise) $100 cancellation fee would be paid for with credit card on file and that I'd be receiving email with UPS prepaid shipping label - fine 2) in the week after I cancelled I got several strange calls from a 866 number but the caller never left a message, finally answered and it was a recording from CLEAR asking me to call because it was urgent 3) called back, was told I had to pay the $100 cancellation fee, I argued and told them I already paid, 20 minutes later they admitted I already paid and said they "would try to waive the second charge"?? Excuse me - try?? Finally they said it had been waived 4) finally tried to print UPS label from email and UPS site UPS said "label unavailable" 5) tried to CLEAR call back and only number on website directed me to the sales department, after being on hold for 15 mins I explained the situation and the agent said to me "jeez take a breath just relax" and gave me another # 6) called the new # to get the UPS situation figured out and after 30 minutes was told a label was already mailed to my physical address and that's why the email version didn't work (nobody felt the need to tell me that earlier apparently) I asked the agent for a # or email so I could let someone know how horrible my experience had been, he gave me a number and said there was a menu option for comments/question 7) called that number and SURPRISE no menu option for anything remotely like comment/questions 8) finally got a human being on the phone through some combination of pressing numbers on menu and was told CLEAR DOES NOT HAVE AN EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBER FOR COMPLAINTS. Excuse me? How can that be?? I'm told that "often" supervisors follow up with customers about the service they received and I should wait and maybe someone would call me.
So yeah. I guess my summary is only get Clearspot if you don't live in a city and don't ever plan on canceling.
