Excellent, Easy to use. Great voice dial/recognition
Pros: Bought from Amazon for $185 (tax + shipping) Installed by Best Buy. Good manual. Easy to program for voice dialing. Phone can be on you in car or within about 10 feet and it works. Have product in 2 cars. Superior to device installed by Mercedes.
Cons: Had some trouble at first with getting voice programming to work, but resolved by turning car off and back on. It reconnected with G1 phone and then could program.
You must enunciate clearly the words and numbers as you use it.
Push a button, say "Call Home", it responds "Do you want to call Home?", you say "yes", it says "dialing" and away you go.
You can even say "Dial a number", say the number and it'll dial it for you.
As with all similar units, you must speak clearly, enunciating your words. If you can, try out the microphone during install to see where the best location is for it to "hear" you. Open windows and high ambient noise may cause it not to understand you. I close my windows and all's well. Later model cars have a connection to mute the radio when the device is in use. My unit is in a '98 truck without the mute capability on the radio, so I just turn down the volume when making/receiving a call. Love this thing!
