"Don't buy unless you want to have it professionally installed"
Pros: Never got to use it, so cannot say.
Cons: Needs to be wired into car stereo, proper connectors not provided
Summary: Bought this unit, with high expectations based on CNET Reviews. They must have been written by Parrot. The difficult installation combined with the poor documentation and support make it darn near impossible to install. I took the unit to a professional installer and he told me that he attempted to install the same unit in another customer's car without success. He told me that the connectors provided are not universal, so you have to find adapters that will allow it to be installed with your paricular radio...if you can find them. Anyone want to buy mine?

Are you still trying to sell it? If so, send me an email at justin@wall-a-be.com.

Well ok this unit does look a little complicated to install, but any perfessional installer who knows what he is doing could figure out how to install it. I have installed many of these units at the shop i work at. Just because you dont have the right plugs for the car doesn't mean you cant the cut the wires and hard wire it in. Simple setup of finding 12v constant, ignition, and ground. The other wires are to cut the speaker wires and run it inline. the only hard part is knowing which side if for the input and which side is the output. The plug they have on there is for european cars to make it plug n play. Just get a european wire harness and you can figure out which wires are which. I know it may sound easy for me but I was just surprised the installer you took it to could not figure it out. If he could install an aftermarket radio then he should be able to install this Parrot unit.

I was not able to find a harness to connect my CK3100 to my Toyota Camry factory radio. On the internet, I found someone selling an external Parrot speaker that connects to the speaker jack on the control unit. It provides excellent voice quality. I don't mind that my radio doesn't mute when I'm using the kit, I just lower the radio volume or turn it off. Installation is easy with the external speaker.

i got this unit and i've been to almost 10 installers. they all say it's very difficult to install and will require expensive custom work. the connectors which are provided are incompatible and many factory stereos are incompatible. it doesn't look like any volvos will work with this product.

The first issue I have is that I cant find much of a review by CNET about this product.
The second issue is with your review. You discredit the product because you feel the installation instructions are not to your liking. These reviews are about the product not your feelings of the installation instructions. If I do want it professionally installed do you still give the product a "2-Terrible"? -
The install instructions are sparse, but sufficient.
The manual in a poor translation from French
If you buy from the right distributer, one who sells a lot of these, you can get a prewired harness specific to you car.
I did that, it doesn't cost much more, and it makes the install a snap.
The product works well, and there are a number of install tutorials on the web for specific cars
