"Phone the organizes the family and cleans referigerator"
Pros: Simple connection to our home wireless network. Very good quality calls. Touch screen access to features, dialing and entering text. Connecting the computer Hub page, the phone, cell phones makes life easier and more fun. Also a nice photo frame.
Cons: The speakerphone on the base unit doesn't work right-callers get their own voice back in their ear with a half second delay-and complain. Phone directory does not show all the numbers listed in your Verizon phonebook.
Summary: I think that the Hub replaces the calendar on the wall and notifies everyone on their cell phone easily, just the touch of an icon. Lookup in the directory shows a map which eleminates a "where are you" phone call when looking something up. The 7" touch screen also is a digital picture frame with wallpaper and screen saver loaded from the Verizon pages on the web-just drag and drop a photo and Zap, it's on your phone. Movie times and traffic are quick and easy. Internet radio is nice when you are preparing a meal and want something nice to listen to. If you need an extra handset and think $80 is a little high for one (and I do) just set simultaneous ring to your cell and you have a free handset. Whichever phone answers first gets the call. Cool! I think that this is a very powerful device that I have not yet figured out how to use for maximum convenience. Oh, it cleans the referigerator, too. Put all the magnetized pictures on the photo screen and set the phone numbers in the contact log and put the sticky notes in the calendar with reminder messages to the right family member. Referigerator has not looked like this since it was in the store! By the way, it is also a fine phone. I get better voice quality than the cell phones if talking to a landline.
We're still learning to use it but enjoying every minute. Very useful technology for Verizon cell phone users.

What kind of connection do you have for your internet? I have used VoIP phones before that on a slower connection i get feedback or the person i am talking to does as well. I am thinking of getting this for a home phone...thanks for your input as it helps with my decision.
