    Pros: Very Basic.
    Only $20.
    Free with certain long-term plans.
Perfect with ATT GO (no contract) plans.
Customer service has been EXCELLENT servicing this account.
Manage your account online or by phone.
Candy-bar profile fits in small purse/pocket.

    Cons: Very Basic.
Candy-bar profile allows for inadvertant key hits in purse/pocket.
That may lead to COSTLY IRREVERSIBLE charges.
    Keypad Lock prevents that.
    Keypad Lock is annoying.
ATT will only disable web capability if you insist.

Summary: We need a cheap, reliable, no-frills cell phone with excellent coverage/service for really limited use. Just a couple of days a month; just a couple of calls/texts a day: no gaming; no webbing; no I.M.-ing; No photos. This phone fits the bill.
The ATT GoPhone plans work for us too. And with our limited needs, neither do we miss the features it lacks, nor do we use most of the features it does.
After 2 months we are completely satisfied wth the phone and service.

You can only adjust the volume while you're on a connected call. Use the left and right navigation keys to hear the volume get louder or lower , but only while you're on the phone.
The center button is a shortcut to the Web. Money will begin to deduct from your account whenever that button is hit. Only the KEYPAD LOCK function prevents this. You cannot disable this function yourself, but if you call customer service, they can, if you insist.

If one uses a MAJOR CREDIT CARD to activate/manage one's wireless account then one will have ZERO problems with unauthorized charges affecting ones credit rating no matter the carrier.

Do not go with AT&T!!! I have nothing but problems with them. They have been billing me for UVerse services which I never had first of all and would never use because the cable services are provided through my HOA. They've now turned a bill for services NEVER received over to a collection agency now affecting my credit and credit scores. Stay away from AT&T at all cost. I know some loyal customers have great stories but they are dinosaurs with them. Sprint offers much better data plans (considering they are unlimited) and have a great family plan that's actually cheaper than AT&T. Shop around and do your homeowrk but, stay away from AT&T. You'll end up being sorry like I am and you'll have to fight to get your credit fixed which shouldn't happen when you never received the services they're billing you for.
