"A Number of Annoying Issues"
Pros: Small and Compact
Cons: Displays, Flip, Volume
Summary: I've been using the CDM-8600 for over 18 months and am very much looking forward to my contract renewal coming up soon. Issues: The screen immediately began collecting dust on the inside and by now is VERY hard to read. The volume simply does not get loud enough and can be very difficult to hear when there is outside noise. I find myself always trying to turn it up. The flip is difficult to open with one hand, and snaps back shut hanging up on the caller if you're not careful. The outside screen flashes "Verizon" more than the date/time and the caller ID, forcing you to wait a full ring to see who is calling. The battery life is fair at best. The belt clip broke within 6-9 months, and I don't remember being too hard on it. It is small, but it is thick and wearing it on your belt is difficult. The only real positive is the fact that the phone still works after 18 months, but the annoyances I've experienced have been dissapointing.
